Ah-ha! I told you I’ve been busy. In addition to dealing with all my essays, exams and other student business, I’ve also been working hard in local politics!
Ben Bradshaw, MP for Exeter, came over to Bath to launch the Bath & North East Somerset election campaign in front of the guildhall with the candidates. The local press printed the headline “Labour to fight in every ward.” On the next page over, was the launch of the Lib Dem campaign, which, in my impartial opinion, looked a bit limp.
In the Local Elections that take place on May 5th. I have been nominated, with my friend David Halpin, as the two Labour candidates in the Westmoreland Ward of Bath, currently held by two Lib Dems.
See you in May!
Proof is in the numbers though, isn't it.
While Labour might have tried to fight every ward, they failed. No candidates in Bathavon West or Clutton. Press release not realy matching up to reality there.
Just for info, the Lib Dems ARE fighting every ward and indeed every single seat. 65 candidates to Labour's 40.
Enjoy the campaign in Westmoreland; I see Labour finished in last place there last time.
Let me know if you find any Tory candidate website; I think I'd enjoy trolling them more!
As for numbers, Nick, can you tell me how many promises your toxic party has broken since it joined the Coalition?
